Portage County Sheriff's Office investigating 'suspicious death' in Grant – Stevens Point Journal

GRANT − The Portage County Sheriff’s Office is investigating what they say is a suspicious death after a body was found Saturday evening.
At 5:23 p.m. Saturday, the Portage County Communications Center received a report of a person lying along 110th Street North, south of Washington Avenue, in the town of Grant. Deputies arrived on scene and determined the person was deceased, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.
The sheriff’s office and the medical examiner’s office are investigating the death. The department of pathology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison will perform an autopsy, according to the news release.
The sheriff’s office is not releasing the name of the deceased person at this time.
